Hello! My name is Ana Argente and I was born in Puerto de Sagunto (Valencia). However, I consider Malaga a second homeland  as I have been living in the Costa del Sol since 2006.

Lawyer by vocation and practising since 1994, I love my job. Currently I am managing the legal department of PRINZA constructions, a buiidng company based in Marbella and running my own legal firm (www.argentesolicitors.es) in Fuengirola. It is in fact Fuengirola the city I have chosen to live.

Self-taught and amateur painter, but with great enthusiasm, drawing and painting might well be considered as one of my main passions. Although I have enjoyed drawing since I was a child, it was not until 2002 when I took it up with a renewed interest and started to spend more time on this hobby..

Watercolour is my favourite technique for its spontaneity, transparency and freedom to capture the light but I also enjoy ink-sketching A combination of both art techniques has fuelled an increasing interest in urban sketching. So,while travelling I never forget a felt-tip pen or a fountain pen to complete my sketchbooks! I certainly use acrylic, oil painting or soft pastel, but to a much lesser extent so far.

As for me, frescoes of Sistine Chapel have been the most impressive paintings ever seen!

Among my favourite painters I would like to highlight Joaquin Sorolla, Ignacio Pinazo, and,  of course, outstanding watercolour artists such as  William Turner and Mariano Fortuny.
